What are the 10 Rules in Christianity?

The Ten Commandments are the 10 key moral laws given by God in the Bible. These are found in Exodus 20:1–17 and Deuteronomy 5:6–21. They show how to love God and how to live rightly with others.

The Ten Commandments 

  1. Worship only God.

“You shall have no other gods before Me.” – Exodus 20:3

  1. Do not make or worship idols.

“You shall not make for yourself a carved image…” – Exodus 20:4

  1. Do not misuse God’s name.

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.” – Exodus 20:7

  1. Keep the Sabbath day holy.

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” – Exodus 20:8

  1. Honor your father and mother.

“Honor your father and your mother…” – Exodus 20:12

  1. Do not murder.

“You shall not murder.” – Exodus 20:13
