A simple and powerful prayer method is the ACTS formula:
A – Adoration: Praise God for who He is. (Psalm 95:6)
C – Confession: Admit your sins and ask for forgiveness. (1 John 1:9)
T – Thanksgiving: Thank God for all His blessings. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
S – Supplication: Ask God for your needs and the needs of others. (Philippians 4:6)

How do Christians start prayers?

Most Christian prayers begin by addressing God as “Heavenly Father” (Matthew 6:9). It’s good to begin with praise and thanksgiving for who God is and what He has done (Psalm 107:1). Humbly recognize God’s greatness and your need for Him (2 Chronicles 7:14). Confess any sin and ask for cleansing (1 John 1:9). Then bring your requests before God, always ending in Jesus’ name (John 14:13).
