Who is the founder of Christianity?

The founder of Christianity is Jesus Christ. He began His ministry around A.D. 30, preaching the Kingdom of God, performing miracles, and teaching repentance and faith.
In Matthew 16:18, Jesus said:
“On this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
His death, resurrection, and commissioning of the disciples established the foundation of Christianity.

The Christian Church believes in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of the world. According to the Bible, He died on the cross for the sins of humanity and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). The Church believes in:

  • One true God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

  • Jesus as Lord and Savior

  • The Bible as the inspired Word of God

  • Salvation by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • The guidance of the Holy Spirit in daily life

The Church exists to worship God, teach His Word, fellowship, and spread the Gospel.
